Answers to Your Burning Questions

Introduction:

Have you ever felt stuck or trapped in the monotony of daily life? Do you find yourself constantly hitting roadblocks whenever you try to progress? Are overwhelming to-do lists and constant stress a familiar part of your routine? If so, you're not alone. Many of us have experienced these challenges firsthand.

As someone who has recently transitioned into the role of a Personal Growth & Resilience Coach, I understand these struggles all too well. In this blog post, I'll be addressing some of the questions I've been asked about the value of hiring a life coach. But more than that, I'll be sharing insights and strategies to help you break free from the cycle of frustration and discover a path to a more fulfilling and joyous life.

So, if you're tired of feeling stuck and ready to take control of your journey, keep reading. Together, we'll explore how coaching can empower you to overcome obstacles, unlock your full potential, and live life on your own terms.

Question- “What is the difference between a coach and a therapist?”

A therapist is trained and licensed to diagnose and treat a behavioral or mental health condition. A coach is not able to diagnose and/or treat any medical or mental health conditions. I personally believe therapy and coaching can complement each other. If you are seeing a therapist and they recommend journaling, for example, a coach can help you implement and hold you accountable to your journaling practice if you get stuck. A therapist typically focuses the past with the problem and cause. Coaching is future focused and action based to put it simply.

Question- “What can a personal growth & resilience coach help with?”

A personal growth & resiliece coach can help with many areas of focus. If you’re struggling with an overwhelming to-do lists, a coach can help you break things down in easy bite-sized pieces to make it more manageable. We can even discuss processes to include planned procrastination. Yes, it’s a real thing and I am a fan!

Recently, I assisted a woman in revisiting a goal she had set for herself but hadn't progressed on due to uncertainty about where to begin. Together, we established a SMART goal that provided clear direction and was easy to implement. Additionally, I supported another individual in carving out time in their day for self-care activities, helping them overcome feelings of guilt associated with prioritizing their well-being. Moreover, I've guided clients in setting and effectively communicating boundaries, a challenge many of us encounter in various aspects of life.

Question- “How long does someone have to work with a coach to make improvement?”

This depends on the person and the goal. Many coaches will offer packages like a 3, 6, 9, or 12 month packages and the client and coach can focus on multiple areas.

Question- “How do I know if I’m ready for coaching?”

This can vary by each person. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, consistently stressed, trying to break free from the mundane life then maybe a life coach can help.

Conclusion:
